LAST UPDATE 10/10/2024: Hi, I’m Rukz One! I’m inspired by music, nature, the universe, and humanity. I have been creating art for as long as I can remember. My art balances chaos with simplicity often accompanied by a complex backstory. Notable artistic influences include Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, James Reka, John Kricfalusi, Jhonen Vasquez and Pablo Picasso.

My artistic style itself has drawn inspiration from skateboarding, hip hop, and the Melbourne street art/graffiti culture. Collaboration and support in the artistic community is a motivating force in my creative journey, creating work with artists around Australia and the World through avenues such as: #artdecypher @drawmearobot @thecreativestcp

Now focused on the Artdecypher banner I aim to shine a creative light that reaches new locations and audiences by paving new paths that challenge the “norm”. Community and collaboration are driving forces in my work and I previously organized events that combined music and art under the “Creative Culture” banner. Providing opportunities for creatives to showcase and celebrate is a large factor in my practise.

I’ve volunteered as a director on the RedWest Creative Co-Op Ltd board as Secretary, Treasurer, and President spanning close to 4 years. From 2022 to 2024 I held positions as a member of Wyndham City’s Creative City Portfolio Advisory Committee and the Wyndham City’s Public Art & Collections Expert Advisory Panel (PACEAP).

I am most proud of being able to use my creations to give back and support , some of these include:

$2,000AUD from sales to Heart Support Australia Ltd, Sudden Cardiac Art Show, Woolworths and MLDC Health and Fitness Centre, Women in Business fundraiser supporting Women’s Cancer, Brody and Ellie’s Helping Hand supporting Cystic Fibrosis. The Iso Life Colouring Book supporting the homeless and less fortunate by way of From Us 2 You Melbourne, Sleepbus helping provides a safe, temporary overnight accommodation for the homeless, and the KKCF caring for orphans and underprivileged children in Sri Lanka.
